show your support and spirit for all the young people who experience bullying

The ever popular 5 Buck Lunch is back Wednesday Wednesday March 31, 2010
WHAT'S GOING ON?
Stop Queerphobia!
Stop Queerphobia: It's In Your Hands
an art project that expresses intollerance for Lesbophobia, Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia and other forms of gender- and sexuality-based oppression
How is violence and oppression against LGBTQ communities impacting the lives of people worldwide & in your own backyard? The Positive Space Committee invites and welcomes you to visit and and find out at multiple locations across campus during eXpression Against Oppression Week. During your visit you're invited to leave your mark on a series of canvas banners as a physical and symbolic sign and expression of support in stopping Lesbophobia, Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia on campus. It's In Your Hands... and your support and unique mark is needed to STOP QUEERPHOBIA. All are welcome.

Happily Queer After A Modern Fairytale?
"Happily Queer After?" is part of the 2009 Celebration of the Arts -
ArtsZone - presented during all hours of ArtZone March 19-April 3, 2009.
The University of Toronto Positive Space committee (St. George) wants folks
to know that life at university is more than curling up with good books;
it's also about curling up with good people.
With that in mind we are pleased to launch a call-out for "Happily Queer
After?" WE are seeking your 'queer' story of love, crush, attraction,
gushy mushiness, with a happy or sad beginning and or end... which has
happened to you on campus or off campus. Members of the Positive Space
committee will take selected queer stories (stories collected from the
University of Toronto community) and unfold them through a series of
excerpts in various mediums to be discovered throughout Hart House.
Happily Queer After? A Modern Fairytale
Nooks and crannies on campus may always be found where love can bloom … but will it? Explore eight distinctive art installations placed around the nooks and crannies of Hart House that together tell the fleeting love story between Mel and Roshan.
ArtsZone participants can pick up and follow the story as it unfolds in the
unique way that they travel throughout HH. Maps with story points will be
provided but the beauty is that there is no one direction participants must
go thus each story can be unique in itself.

Hello and welcome to the new academic year!
Please join us for the first meeting of the Positive Space committee (St. George campus) for 2008/09.
We welcome all supporters of Positive Space – this is an important opportunity for us to come together as a community, to discuss issues central to the role of Positive Space and to consider what direction we will take in the coming year. Our actions in 2007/08 continued to spread the word about Positive Space, to assert a Positive Space presence on the St. George campus and to support those members of our community who were impacted by homophobic incidents.
During our gathering, we might consider the following questions:
What does Positive Space mean in 2008?
What are our long range goals?
Where would we like to be in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, by 2030?
How do we get there?
These questions ask us to move away from some of our earlier focus on specific actions, to a broader consideration of the meaning and place of Positive Space on the St. George campus.
We hope that you will join us
October 20th 2008
5:00 – 8:00pm
Victoria College, Senior Common Room
(enter behind Burwash Hall on the South West corner – between Burwash and Isabel Bader Theatre)
